The stock LSD is fine for the daily driver and boulevard cruiser, but not the hard driving performance enthusiast. When you upgrade to a Ford Racing Limited Slip T2R Torsen Differential you will experience a monumental improvement in both traction and handling performance. This Ford Racing Torsen Differential is the same exact one that is found as standard equipment on Performance Pack GT Mustangs, making it ideal for performance applications.
Full-Time Torque-Sensing, Torque-Biasing. Ford Racing’s T-2R Torsen 8.8″ differential uses a worm gear friction system that features full-time torque-sensing and torque-biasing for maximize performance. Torque Sensing keeps power going to the ground during changing traction conditions, while Torque Bias factors how much torque the differential can send to the wheels depending on the available traction. This Torsen design is far superior to standard limited-slip differentials making it perfect for street, auto-crossing, and road racing.
Required Upgrade. This Ford Racing IRS Torsen Differential was specifically engineered for use with Ford Racing Super 8.8″ IRS Gear and Pinion Sets, including 3.31, 3.55, 3.73, and 4.09 gear ratios. Sold separately. This Torsen Differential is not for use with 3.15 gears.
Application. This Ford Racing 8.8″ Limited Slip T2R Torsen Differential is designed to be a direct fit upgrade replacement for 2015 to 2021 V6, EcoBoost and GT Mustangs equipped with independent rear suspensions (IRS) and requires the use of 34 spline axles.
